Rare Holidays India (RHI) was conceived by our Chief Executive Officer , Mr. S Roy Chowdhury in 1987 and finally commenced rendering its impeccable hospitality in Tourism related services in 1990.

India has a charisma which is distinct and a traveler would get a feeler of the same , the moment one lands in the Country. It is a conglomeration of different Cultures , great history of various Civilizations, diversified architectures, millions of hospitable people who differ from each other in color , caste , religion , language, food habits and so on but still are One Nationality. Amazing Isn't it ? This is what makes India unique in itself. Every 25 miles you travel in any direction in this Country, you will discover the localities changing in its character , the dialect of the people changing , their dress code changing.
The Archeological Survey of India keep their excavations on and discover something or the other about age old civilizations that existed thousands of years ago. It proves how old this land is in its civilization. A recent excavation in Central India ( Madhya Pradesh ) lead to the discovery of figurines made of pure Copper which are stated to be 4000 years old !!!
After the independence , all successive Governments in India has done their best to create Tourism infrastructure to facilitate Tourism related services in the Country and now we have a separate Ministry dedicated to Tourism promotion and who have their presence in many cities in India and abroad. The private sector has also done tremendous work within their own capacities to bring about comfort to travelers while traveling.
We have made all possible efforts to keep this site concise and yet provide necessary guidance to a traveler interested to visit this part of the World. Though this website is dedicated mainly on India but we do operate Tours to Countries viz., Nepal Bhutan, Tibet, China, Thailand, Hong Kong , Singapore, Sri Lanka , Maldives and Mauritius.
